Sterile Liquid Filtration
Sterile liquid filtration is critical the food or beverages quality, shelf life, and safety of the products. Sterilizing grade filters for this industry increase shelf live of the product removing organisms that would spoil the food. Sterilizing grade filters are used in a variety of applications such as water, brewing, dairy, food ingredients, soft drinks, spirits, and wine.

Clarification or Prefiltration
Clarification or prefiltration is for the reduction of particulates and microbial contaminates through mainly a sieving process. This reduces the burden on the final filters making the liquid clearer. These filters extend the life of the final filters by removing heavy loading particulate matter. Clarification or prefilters are recommended in the beginning part the process where 100% of the retention of contaminates above their rated pore size is not required.

Gas, Steam or Vent
Gas, steam or vent filtration is the separation of particulate matter from a gas stream. Filtration of gas has many applications from venting of tanks to keep out contaminations while the tanks are being emptied, to filtration of N2 or CO2 for filtration of blanket gases or steam filtration. It is critical to know the gas and the applications to properly determine the correct filter for the process.

High Temperatures or High Viscosity
For high temperature or highly viscous chemicals the strength of the filters need to increase to handle both of these conditions. The material needs to be compatible with the chemistries and capable to handle the elevated temperatures and pressures. The three dimensional pore structure need to be able to hold up and not compress with high viscous chemicals being forced through the medias pore structure. The filter needs to be properly designed for the application.
